Web Accessibility Statement

calendar_today Last Updated: March 13, 2026 language Applies to: servetrain.co

Servetrain LLC ("ServeTrain," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to making our website and online training platform accessible to all users, including individuals with disabilities. We believe that every person who needs Responsible Beverage Service certification should be able to access our courses, navigate our website, and interact with our content without barriers.

1. Our Commitment to Accessibility

ServeTrain strives to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines define how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological conditions.

We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project. We regularly review and update our website and training platform to identify and address accessibility barriers as they arise.

2. Accessibility Features on Our Website

Our website and training platform include the following accessibility features built into the underlying code and design:

  • Semantic HTML structure: Proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and semantic elements to support screen readers and assistive technologies
  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements (links, buttons, forms, and course navigation) are accessible via keyboard for users who cannot operate a mouse
  • Alt text for images: Descriptive alternative text on all meaningful images so screen reader users understand the content being presented
  • Color contrast: Text and interactive elements are designed to meet WCAG AA contrast ratio requirements against their backgrounds
  • Responsive design: Pages adapt to different screen sizes and zoom levels, supporting users who magnify content
  • Focus indicators: Visible focus states on interactive elements for keyboard and switch device users
  • Form labels: All form fields include associated labels and instructions so assistive technologies can identify them correctly
  • ARIA attributes: Where standard HTML is insufficient, ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes are used to provide additional context to assistive technologies
  • Reduced motion support: Animations are automatically disabled for users whose operating system or browser indicates a preference for reduced motion

3. UserWay Accessibility Widget

In addition to the accessibility features built into our website, ServeTrain uses the UserWay Accessibility Widget to give visitors additional control over how they experience our site. The UserWay widget is an on-page tool that allows you to customize the display and behavior of our website to suit your individual needs.

You can access the UserWay widget by clicking the accessibility icon (a circular icon featuring a person silhouette) that appears on every page of our website. Once opened, the widget provides the following adjustable features:

UserWay Widget Features

These tools are available to every visitor on every page. Adjustments take effect immediately and do not alter the underlying website for other users.

Accessibility profiles within the widget allow you to apply a group of settings at once based on your specific needs, such as profiles for screen reader users, vision-impaired users, cognitive disability users, seizure-safe browsing, and ADHD-friendly settings. All adjustments can be reset to defaults at any time.

The UserWay widget works alongside the accessibility features already built into our website. It is provided as an additional layer of customization and does not replace our responsibility to maintain an accessible codebase.

4. Conformance Status

We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA across our website and training platform. Because web accessibility standards continue to evolve and our site is regularly updated with new content, we acknowledge that some areas may not yet fully conform to every guideline at all times.

We continuously monitor our website for accessibility issues through a combination of automated scanning tools, manual testing, and user feedback. When issues are identified, we prioritize them and work to resolve them as quickly as possible.

5. Known Limitations

While we work to ensure accessibility across all pages and features, some limitations may exist:

  • Third-party content: Some embedded content from third-party providers (including video players, payment processors, and state regulatory portals) may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We do not control the accessibility of these external platforms but choose providers who demonstrate a commitment to accessibility
  • Legacy PDF documents: Some older PDF certificates or documents may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We are working to ensure all new documents are generated in accessible formats
  • Video captions: We are in the process of adding or improving closed captions on all video content within our training courses. If you encounter a video without captions, please contact us and we will prioritize it

6. Feedback and Assistance

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our website and training platform. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, have difficulty using any feature, or need content in an alternative format, please let us know. We take all accessibility feedback seriously and will do our best to respond within 3 business days.

When contacting us about an accessibility issue, it is helpful to include:

  • The URL (web address) of the page where you experienced the issue
  • A description of the problem you encountered
  • The assistive technology you were using (if applicable), such as the screen reader name and version
  • Your preferred method of contact so we can follow up

7. Applicable Standards and Laws

This accessibility statement is informed by the following standards, guidelines, and legal frameworks:

  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 published by the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI)
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title III, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in places of public accommodation, including websites operated by businesses that serve the public
  • Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, which establishes accessibility requirements for federal electronic and information technology
  • California Government Code Section 7405, which requires state entities to comply with Section 508 standards

8. Third-Party Websites

Our website contains links to third-party websites, including state regulatory portals, payment processors, and social media platforms. We are not responsible for the accessibility of these external sites. We encourage users to review the accessibility statements of any third-party website they visit through links on our site.

9. Updates to This Statement
